Conrad, Leonard Obituary
Mr. Leonard Conrad, 89 of Gaylord died Monday, Sept 29, 2008 at Aspen Ridge Retirement Village. Leonard was born in Detroit to Emil and Cecilia Conrad on Sept 7, 1919. He served with the Army Air Corps during World War II as a Tech Sergeant. Leonard married his beloved Mary Lawrence on Feb 7, 1942. Mary died after a long illness in 2001. They were inseparable in life, and will rest next to each other in Resurrection Cemetery in Gaylord. Leonard worked for Packard Motors in Detroit, moving to Ford Motor Company when Packard closed. Masley, Charles S. Obituary
Mr. Charles S. Masley, age 58, of Gaylord, died on Saturday, September 20, 2008. He was born in Detroit on May 18, 1950 to Thomas and Verna (Hovila) Masley. Chuck lived in Allen Park and Charlevoix before moving to Gaylord at age 15. He was a graduate of Gaylord High School. On September 14, 1968 he married the former Cheri Ann Culbertson. Chuck began his employment with Georgia Pacific at the age of 18, and worked there for 35 years. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, ice fishing, playing the guitar, music, playing softball, and gardening. Zaborowski, Martin M. Obituary
Mr. Martin M. Zaborowski, age 87, formerly of Gaylord, died Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Hilltop Manor Health Care Center in Roscommon.
Mr. Zaborowski was born in Detroit on August 18, 1921, the son of Joseph and Marie (Mazur) Zaborowski. In 1923 the family moved to Gaylord. Martin later moved from the area to work in the Civilian Conservation Corps and returned to Gaylord in 1963. He then worked for and retired from the State of Michigan.
