Gloria Jean Poupard, 69 of Wolverine, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 8, 2013 surrounded by her family. The daughter of Elon and Gretchen (Goddard) Sumerix, she was born on July 5, 1944 in Lansing, MI. 
 
Jean married Ronald Poupard on August 31, 1963 in Monroe, MI.
 
Jean is survived by her loving husband, Ronald; children LeeAnn (Kyle) Inosencio, Lynelle (Luke) Jaroche, Lisette (Gary) Poupard-Purgiel; grandchildren, Jordan, Jared, Jacob, Andrew, Holly, Eric, Seth and Lacey; great grandchildren, Jaxon; sisters, Delores (Don) Grimes, Sharol (Tom Maseus) LaValle, Patricia Ochs; brothers, Darrel (Patricia) Sumerix, Eldon (Joan) Sumerix. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, R. Eric Poupard and her brother, Elon Sumerix. 
 
Funeral Services for Jean will be on Saturday, August 10 at 11 am from Wolverine Congregational Church.
 
Visitation will be on Friday, August 9, at the Congregational Church from 5 – 8 pm and on Saturday from 10 am until the time of service. 
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Wolverine Congregational Church through the Nelson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1548, Gaylord, MI 49734.
